Pongal Celebration

➤  Pongal is a harvest festival, a traditional thanks giving occasion to nature. Pongal is celebrated with joy in school. Students performed various kinds of activities during pongal festival. It gives a good opportunity to our team in collecting informations about pongal festival. In school, pongal was made by cooking rice in an earthen port at the court yard at stove made of bricks. When the milk starts boiling and over flows people shout "pongalo-pongal".

➤ Members of the school community organised various types of activities during pongal celebration at school. Firstly pongal celebration started with guru pooja followed by colourful presentations of cultural programmes by students. It includes traditional dance, poems and songs. Our team member conducted traditional activities in our school. Students participated enthusiastically in all activities to promote pongal festival among the community. It gives a lot of opportunity for students to learn about culture & traditions.
